Private/Directed
Father Dan explains the differences of a private retreat and a private directed retreat
Private Retreat
Private, personal retreats of various lengths can be made anytime during the year as dependent upon available space. The days are spent in prayer, reading, and reflection as determined by the individual retreatant. Tapes and books are available as guides. Arrangements can be made through the central office.
Private Retreats: $60.00 per day (includes a private room and 3 meals). $80.00 per day (includes a suite and 3 meals).
Directed Retreat
Directed Retreat is an individually guided retreat. The retreat includes ample time for reflecting, praying and listening to God speaking, especially through the Word of God, the Scriptures. Each retreatant is assigned a Director who walks with her/him through the days of retreat reflecting and sharing with the retreatant about her/his prayer and life experience. The Director meets with the retreatant each day. Each summer, two separate weeks are specifically devoted to directed retreats. However, a directed retreat may be made at any time, limited only by staff and space availability. The retreat may be of any duration agreed upon by the staff of the Center and the retreatant. Reservations for directed retreats must be made in advance through our office.
Directed Retreats: $80.00 per day (includes a private room and 3 meals). $100.00 per day (includes a suite and 3 meals).
We also offer directed retreats in the summer with groups. Some people prefer sharing prayer during these silent retreats made with more people. In July 2011 there will be two directed retreats held. The 3-Day will be held on July 12-15, 2012. The 6-Day will be held on July 15-21, 2012. The program begins with a 5:30 supper on the first evening of the session and concludes with the noon meal on the final day of the session.
