Young Adults--For people in their 20's & 30'sAugust Retreat
Click here to view our video. Comments from our August '09 Retreatants: [I received from this experience] The openness to strive towards our dreams and realize that God is present with us through the struggles; discerning and joys of this process. Honestly, getting rid of our fears and holding on to the hopes. Surprise! So much of what goes on in our lives--our struggles, our fears, our joys, our work--we are not alone in these things. Our circumstances may be different but our lives intertwine. Patience is often required when figuring out where we are going. We loved the solitude we had, so how can we eliminate what we have in our lives to live in peace and happiness? To reflect we need to quiet the unwanted noise in our lives. It's okay to an "adult" and not have the answers. It was great to be able to be with others at this stage in life and just be together. It was a great weekend and I look forward to coming together again. We are young, we are supposed to be lost and it is okay to be lost. Patience...openness. I liked the questions of what it means to be an adult and how we may struggle with those questions. I love the comradery we shared together. I liked how there was a targeted age frame of people which I think helped us be a little more open because we are all facing the same questions/problems. At our age it is helpful to know that God will take his time to reveal his will to us--he won't give us all all the answers when we receive our high school diploma. What I'll take from this retreat is that I'm not the only one having troubles like I am and that there are people you can talk with for advice. PICS FROM THE RETREAT
